Owen's Reds career over

Michael Owen’s spell at United has come to an end after the striker revealed he will not be offered a new contract this summer.

The 32-year-old, whose three-year stay at Old Trafford has been punctuated by injury, broke the news on Twitter on Thursday morning.

"The Manager informed me after our testimonial match on Tuesday that the club would not be offering me a new contract," Owen said.

Wayne Rooney unhappy with his form

In spite of scoring two times agains Villa Rooney is not happy with his current form. He is only one goal away from George Best scoring record:

"The rest of my play wasn't great. I am disappointed with that and I will be working hard to put it right."

It would be great to equal that record and hopefully surpass it,

Manchester United have welcomed back Antonio Valencia to the squad for the Europa League game against Athletic Bilbao, but Anderson, Phil Jones and Nani will miss the trip to Spain.

According to the Daily Mail, Juventus have agreed a deal with United for Paul Pogba. They claim that he has signed a deal worth £20,000 a week to the young player, and his agent will pocket a cool £1.7M. If this is true, good riddance to him. Ferguson is right in the way that he deals with these young players, he will not chase after them and let them try and call the shots with wages etc. No player is bigger than the club, never mind a youth in the reserves, who is not tested at the highest lev...
